I was reading emails when all of a sudden a screaming loud, piercing squeal started coming from my tower or near my tower. I had everything plugged into an APC battery backup and surge protector. I realized that was what was squealing at me. So I turned off the computer and plugged everything into just a regular surge protector. I guess that APC thing pooped out, although it's only about a year old. A light on it was blinking red/green.
Do those things wear out? ROFLOL. I'm SO computer literate!
Anyway, I guess I'd better find out tomorrow from our IT folks what's going on here. I sure don't want to have to buy another computer, and I absolutely need to back up everything on this one!!
A good reminder to everyone to back up - more often than I do!!
Daisy started squealing when that thing did, like she was mimicking the sound. Lordy, just what I needed - a sing along with Daisy! It's so quiet in here now!
Well, that's my excitement for the day! Well, except for the rain we're getting. And the light bulb that's burned out in my garage. And I forgot to stop and get paper towels tonight again. And that black thread I pulled off the bottom of my pants today unhemmed the whole darn leg. I really need to get a life, don't I? ROFLOL.

Are you sure you aren't kin to me? That kind of stuff sounds so familiar. I spent all day yesterday on my computer....it got all new parts and I haven't got it all back together yet. I think I really detest computers, come to think of it. I had time to do things before they came along.
Amen, Perry! But without them, we wouldn't have all met each other. So it is a good trade-off!
Your life sounds pretty darn exciting to me. Singing dogs, how much more fun can you have than that!@ lol
Okay, all the things that happpened gave me a weird visual. Vicky looking like she's limping (the one pant leg longer than the other) into her dark garage (missing the note that says they're coming to check her drapes). Vicky is now running to check her computer and Daisy is running around her feet howling. Next shot--Vicky telling the paramedics "I have no idea what I tripped over, are the firetrucks on their way??"
No really, I think after today your life is quite lively!!
LOL,laughing with you at Daisy the singing dog.
and yep, i'm another one who really needs to start backing everything up on the 'puter.
Daisy singing reminded me of a few months ago when the smoke alarms in our house which are connected to our alarm system went nuts and started squealing a high pitch scream, which then set the alarm off, the neighbors were coming over, the alarm company was on the phone, Howie was singing at the top of his voice (90 pound dog, that's a big voice), I had changed the code on the alarm because of some issues, didn't write it down and couldn't remember, the alarm guy was trying to talk me through getting the alarm off, while Andy's asking if the fire trucks are coming...OMG! I feel your pain Vicky!
APC batteries run out of charge over time... There are replacement batteries out there - you might want to try http://www.cdw.com and search by your model number. (No affiliation - just a satisfied customer)
Do you ever have a dull day? LOL
ZZZZzzzzzz.....huh? Wha??? Oh sorry. Your life sounds just as exciting as mine...
