I'm such an idiot!

The camera is "fixed." When the low battery light came on last weekend, I took out those batteries and put in new ones. Turns out those were rechargable batteries. The regular batteries took two pictures and drained. After going through eight (yes, eight) of them, I decided it was time to figure it all out. Time to break out the manual. Rechargable batteries? Whoever heard of such a thing! I'm just a country girl in a great big freaky city! Anyway, I picked up some more rechargable batteries and a charger, and I'm good to go. Well, that is until the next time!
This is a little kit I picked up a couple of weekends ago. I love Buggy Barn stuff. It's a small quilt, or large wallhanging. I'm so ready to start working on Christmas stuff! Daisy's little weenie dog is in the top of the picture. She ran over and dropped that there just as I stood up to snap the shot. So I had to leave it in!
Yesterday was a totally wasted day. I ran a few errands in the morning, and when I got home I had a splitting headache. Of course, it was nothing that 11 good hours of sleep couldn't take care of. Today is catch-up day.
I'm real torn about starting that new "All Things Christmas" BOM that I mentioned in my last post. No, I have to work on the giterdun. I have to.
Gratitudes:
~ Having such a friendly local quilt shop. I love just hanging out at Ginger's.
~ A cool house despite the heat outside.
~ Deciding to sign up for the next hand quilting class.
~ My headache has finally gone away.

"Dibbies" LOL

Oh, Vicky we are definitely Kindred Spirits - I want to learn how to hand quilt so badly. I probably should take a class at one of our local stores but no one seems to be offering it right now. I'm searching for someone to teach me and hopefully be my mentor - so far no luck! Sigh!

Snow People! That is so cute. I've been looking at redwork designs and the snow people ones are all so adorable. Glad to read that your headache disappeared. (((HUGS)))

This is a fun pattern for snowy winter. Probably the only snow you'll see in your climate (well, not counting the mountains!).

That's definitely one of those "Duh" moments with the batteries. VBG Your new pattern should be very cute when done.

Very happy belated birthday, Judy!! I just read on Vicky's blog that it was on the 6th so I went back and checked your posts. Hmm...nothing.
Well, hope it was happy and filled with love and wonder.

Now, Vicky--cut yourself some slack, girl! Nobody was born knowing these tech things. I made much the same mistake with my camera last year but now I know that it sucks up batteries like no tomorrow and use the recharged variety. Seems like I always have one set getting revved up.

Good for you getting that "giterdun" done!

That's a seriously cute kit - I like buggy barn stuff too.

At least you figured it out and can post photos again. :-)

Love that little kit. Like you I do love the buggy barn stuff. But I'm not gonna even ask you where you got it. I think I've spent enough for awhile so maybe it's time for me to sew up some of that new stuff before I buy more. Not fun, I know, but I do need to have a LITTLE discipline in my quilting life. LOL! Not to mention it would not be cool to spend the grocery money of fabric as I've depleted my free cash stash for a few months!

Oh, that's why I love my ion battery! It will last for about 500 pics without flash. I recharge it every Sunday, unless I'm going to a quilt show. Then I get about 350 pics with flash.

Cute Buggy Barn pattern. They always make such darling stuff.
