Kicked out of Stash Busters?
Can that happen? Tonight was the PJ Party 25% off sale at The Fabric Patch.... need I say more?
Actually as far as fabric goes, I was pretty good considering. Considering I just picked up a few pieces of the Robyn Pandolph line which just came in today, Holly Go-Lightly. Beautiful stuff. The other fabrics were: some 108" backing, Michael Miller Jet Black, some background for fabric I already have, some Dimples for another set of pulled fabric. All good purchases. Not a piece of "speculation" fabric in the bunch!
What did me in were the notions - as usual. But I picked up three cartons of Aurifil thread. That certainly won't go to waste. Some zippered project bags, a ruler, some snips, an Omnigrid cutting & pressing station, a few patterns, a few books ..... okay. I didn't need those, but, I mean, 25% off! What's a girl to do?
Now I go back on the fabric diet! It's okay to indulge once in a while on a diet. It really is. It makes the long-term goal bearable! That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
(And I just noticed in the picture that one of the cushions is backwards on the sofa! ROFLOL! I guess it's been like that for a year! Sheesh, you can't take me anywhere!)

Ooooohhhhh, what fun! What books did you buy? Have a good weekend Vicky and I hope you feel better and better as the day progresses.
Hugs,
Gail L.
It sounds as though your purchases will "complement" your stash. I don't think they "count" then. *VBS* As you can see, I can justify just about any "quilty" purchase.
I was wondering how that shopping trip went. Looks like you controlled yourself with the fabric and found some great notions! Don't you just love a good sale!!

LOL about the couch cushion! Isn't it interesting how things jump out at us in pictures that we never notice when we are looking at the actual objects? I've learned that when making quilts - taking a picture of a quilt on my design wall is a much better way to see if it's really balanced color and value wise. I see things in pictures I didn't realize were there.
I don't think you did badly at all - it's the "speculation" fabric that kills us. As long as you have a use for each piece I think it's perfectly OK.
Heehee -- looks like you had a little bit of fun! :)
Have a great weekend!

Looks like to me you did real good. Maybe Daisy moved the cushion?
Now if you habn't mentioned that cushion the wrong way round you'd have got away with that - we were too busy coveting your purchases :o)
Isn't it fun to buy all that quilty stuff. I did that myself yesterday at JoAnn's. That store had just about everything on sale.
Looks like you got some great stuff! My kind of shopping!
I don't think you did too bad--it was a lot of notions after all. And in my opinion, you need a few new fabrics to freshen up your stash and keep you going, right? And if you are going down, I'm right behind you! I'll share what I got today on my blog! And if we both did it, it cancels each other out--just like eating cookies together with someone, the calories get cancelled out. :)
I think you did great. Sometimes you just have to buy things to makey yourself feel good and if it's on sale it makes you feel twice as good. :o)
Kicked out?? No way. We've seen your quilts so we know that you do use it. Afraid you are stuck with us, Vicky!
Enjoy your new toys...my kind of therapy.
Melanie
Don't feel badly - a bargain is a bargain! I hit the Joanne's sale and stocked up on some goodies that were on sale or that I had a coupon for. Good job on "saving" money!
Cheers!
Evelyn
"Speculation" fabric - I love it! (Boy do I own a lot of speculation fabric!)
