Stash Report Week 3

Simply Sophisticated BOM makers, post your finishes HERE to be entered in this month's drawing!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Man-oh-man, this is gonna hurt to admit! I was NOT good at all this week. I knew it was going to be brutal, but the amount of both stash purchased and dollars spent threw me for a loop. Oh, well, my savings account will be the beneficiary of my follies!
This week I had a little purchasing frenzy at The Fat Quarter Shop. Some automatic shipments arrived, BOMs, charms, layer cakes, and a Moda U kit. I decided to go ahead and order the backing for that one, and for another quilt. I had totally forgotten that I ordered the new Thimbleberries BOM, and the first block arrived and the backing I preordered for it. I'm going to love making this quilt. Then I discovered I needed some older fabric that Kimberly didn't have any more, so I surfed and found it. I haven't gotten everything in yet, but it's all reported this week to get it over with! All total, 25.25 yards.
Now, to the quilt show.
I bought a ton of patterns, some templates, but did end up getting a few small kits. The reason - I way overbuy when I buy fabric for a pattern, especially online. It's actually cheaper for me to buy the kit. Jane and I went by the SewEzi booth and saw this neat tray attachment for the tables that we have. We ordered those. Surprisingly, I only purchased two books at the show, a Liberty Homestead book titled "Bumblebee Lane," and a Kansas City Star book titled "Embroidered Quilts." It was tough figuring the yardage in those kits, but it came out to 15.375 yards. Some patterns and the tray attachment are ordered, so they're not pictured.
So total yardage purchased this week, 40.625. Total dollars spent $899.94. Gulp!! Those non-fabric purchases sure add up quickly!
I am going to SO be busting in the next few weeks to get even again! I can do it. I'm determined! Meanwhile, my savings account is smiling! LOL.
Year-to-Date Totals:
Busted: 27.50 yards
Purchased: 40.625 yards
Net YTD: <13.125> yards busted
Ouch! The main thing is that you had fun at the show and most of the FQS stuff was for current projects. You had your fun, now it's time to get back to busting! I know you can do it!
It's still early in the year. . .so I'm sure you will have everything back in the "busting" direction shortly.
The SewEzi tray sounds interesting. . will have to check that out at the Hershey, PA show this summer. I love the table & my husband wants to get one also.
Is that all you got at Road? If that's it, you were very restrained!
Don't worry about FQS, my friend and I ordered from Kimberly Friday so that she wouldn't miss your purcases - little did I know that you can't stop yet! LOL!
Looks like you've had fun and if memory serves me correctly, you've done way worse in years past! :) Looks like a bunch of FUN purchases!
Vicky except for the dollar amount you spent you really didn't do to bad this week. You're only 13 + in the negative on fabric used. You can correct that in no time flat this week! That's my challenge to you. See if you can meet it! ILY
