Sunday 1-6-08 Stash Report

I did a little applique on New Year's Day - because, after all, what you do on New Year's Day, you do for the rest of the year! LOL
This is the sum total of my stash depletion efforts this week. Pitiful, huh? What would you call this, two fat quarters?
All that stash and I'm appliqueing tiny little pieces. Sheesh... I need an intervention!
This is the second block from the Anne Sutton, Bunny Hill Designs pattern, "Strawberry Hill." It still needs some embroidery. I love Anne's patterns! She's the guest blogger this week at http://www.fatquartershop.blogspot.com/. Anne's a real neat lady!
I really don't expect to bust much stash this month what with the yearly financials at work, CPAs in for the annual review, etc. I'm sure going to try, but I truly expect February to be my first real productive quilting month. But no purchases this week except for a couple of yards ordered that will be used immediately for a special (and late) Christmas present!
Gratitudes:
~ Tylenol Extra Strength for sore muscles
~ Hot Pockets
~ The rain!
~ Certainty of convictions
~ Daisy's "help" cleaning the stash room!

That's how I feel about using scraps...pitiful! It's like they multiply as you use them. Your block however is really cute. Let's see... if you use 2 fat quarters/month, every month in
2008....you'll bust..uhm...6 whole yards of fabric!!!!

I love your block! Pitiful? NO! I think that's a great weekly report. I'm such a slow applique-er. And remember, we aren't racing anyone, including ourselves. Relax and have fun, right?! I love what you did with your stash room, too!

That bunny may not have used much of your stash but it sure is a cute one! Ardie

Well, you may not be using a lot of stash, but at least you're using it! And your efforts to organize are inspiring!

Vicky...that bunny block is adorable. I vowed that this is the year I tackle learning hand applique. Just hope that one day I am as good as you!

Oh, but what a gorgeous use of those pitiful stash bits!!! Hey, have you ever heard the comedian, Jim Gaffigan's bit on Hot Pockets? It is hilarious. YouTube has a short video of it.

What an adorable block - I love Anne Sutton's patterns. I have the Wish Upon A Star(is that the right name?) pattern by her, and I'm going to make it one of these days.
Hooray for Tylenol Extra Strength!! One of my favorite meds, too!! Keeps you going, doesn't it? I'm glad Daisy's been "helping" you!! LOL!
