Nothing New Here

Absolutely nothing! Same old chores at home that I can never seem to get done; same old project on my sewing table; same old dog. I'm real envious of Judy that she's got all those bindings to do!

I'm in a funk today. Woke up in the middle of the night with a horrible headache. Headaches scare me, but this one is just the same old allergy/sinus thing I always suffer from this time of the year. Still in all, I was awake half the night, and then way overslept this morning. I hate it when I do that because then it's straight into the shower, a quick Daisy walk, and then fighting the traffic in to work. I didn't get a cup of coffee until almost 10:00.

I've been thinking a lot about gratitudes today. I'm hard-pressed to come up with anything new or original. Just the old standards: good health, Daisy, a comfortable home and lots of quilty things to play with. And my friends - especially my friends!

grateful that a new accountant will be joining you?, that you got to work safely even though it was a rush?, how about that you recognized the ehadache for what it was -- as sinus thing, not something ominous to worry about... :-)

Aren't we a boring pair? I have searched my brain for something interesting to blog about and came up with zippo . . nothing!

Hope the headache is gone and doesn't return!

Oh, those good basic gratitudes are the best ones of all: with those in place life is OK!
Glad you'll be getting help at work.
Isn't this bit of coolness nice? It really changed here this afternoon.

Oh Vicki, I can certainly sympathize. This is the worst time of year - August and early September for my allergy headaches. Thank goodness they are almost passed for this year. I found something over the counter that really seems to help - and I can use it in addition to the allergy prescriptions. It's a saline mist with eucalyptol and menthol. It's much more soothing to my sinus that plain saline spray. You might give it a try.

No news is always good news - nothing BAD to report. It may seem boring but some sort of a routine and schedule is always nice to have. Great job to get everything balanced for the new accountant - I hope that this person will lighten up your work load a bit!

Cheers!

Evelyn

You made me laugh with "same old dog" :-).

how about a gratitude that you are one day closer to your trip?

There's something comforting about routine and "the same old thing". No complaints here--- The same gratitudes are great, makes me think these are the things you never take for granted.....

"same old dog" - that's too funny - poor Daisy! LOL

You NEED a new project - you need something fun and quick. Instant gratification. It's good for the sewing soul - trust me!!! :-)

A new accountant - WooHoo!

Ya know sweetie, just because our moms said there would be "days like this", that doesn't make them any easier to get through. Sometimes just putting one foot in front of the other is a big deal!!
You've had a super LOT on your plate lately, and I think you've risen to EVERY challenge and done beautifully. Give yourself permission to be "lower than snakehips" for awhile, you bounce back up and out of there!! I know you will ! *VBS* And then, there is that really GREAT trip to the south to look forward to!
Nothing lasts forever, this too shall pass, you can lean on me or cry on my shoulder just any old time. Big hugs, Finn

Tomorrow is another day....

& you already know that it could be worse....

I am feeling very similarly... This time of year is the equivalent of tax time for an accountant - so why am I blogging - glutton... My lunch break, I can choose how to spend it! New (to me ) abode, etc. (Incl. NO sewing.)

I've had those types of days. Sounds like you need a vacation. Or a new quilt project.

Good, you have someone hired for the position--hope not just one that passed the mirror test.

Some days are like that--not much going on but you know what? I think we all think that about ourselves. Everything cannot be a thrill a minute. Actually it is better for our sanity that it isn't, LOL.

The last thing on your gratitude list was friends - a real blessing. I read through the comments you received and know that you have many friends. Women all over understand those days when we just are not jumping with joy. It is helpful to know that others understand and give us grace to work through it.

A new accountant starting is a good thing for you. I'm looking for a new sales assistant (I'll take if I can find them).
Blogging this week has been a little tough. After Monday I haven't been able to think of a single thing to write about. Maybe by this weekend we'll all be feeling better.

That same old project on your sewing table.....Well, perhaps it needs to go into the "One Thread a Day" section of your life. Just to get you motivated again.
