Fall is near and it’s time to start a new project!
The Fat Quarter Shop has introduced Simply Sophisticated Mystery BOM that will start in October. If you haven’t already signed up, now is the time! Space is limited and you won’t want to miss out on this absolutely gorgeous quilt!
Simply Sophisticated has a total of 33 blocks plus setting triangles. The entire quilt will be made from the Harvest Home collection by Blackbird Designs, and includes traditional piecing and no applique.
When I first blogged about this new BOM, several folks expressed an interest in joining a Simply Sophisticated Club. The details have been worked out, and everyone is invited to join the Club! The rules are simple!
First, sign up for the Mystery BOM at The Fat Quarter Shop. The BOM will be shipped the third week of each month. To allow for mailing to different parts of the globe, your blocks for the month must be completed by the 25th of the following month. I will post a Club blog post each month a few days before that. When you have completed your monthly blocks, post a picture on your blog and leave a comment on the Club post here on my blog, or you can email me a picture if you are not a blogger. Your name will go then go into a monthly drawing. The Fat Quarter Shop has generously offered to donate a $25 gift certificate each month to the winner of the drawing! Remember, you must have a picture to show us of your completed blocks, either on your blog or by emailing a picture to me.
Please let me know if you want to join the Club! We’re going to have a ton of fun! And a HUGE thank you to Kimberly, Kevin and the adorable Miss Emma at The Fat Quarter Shop!
I didn't understand where we would post (on your blog, our blog, or a new blog) but really want to do this! If anything, it should make me do the blocks.
That wasn't very clear! LOL
Post a comment on the Club blog that I'll post here on my blog a few days before the 25th of the month. Tell us you've completed the blocks, and post a picture on your blog so that we can go admire your work. If you're not a blogger, just email me a picture of it to get in the drawing.
If that didn't clear it up, I'll try again! It's been a long day!
This is going to be so awesome! It will certainly make it to our benefit to get our blocks done. Hopefully, they won't be difficult patterns. I can't wait to get started. Thanks so much for spearheading this endeavor! Yea!!!
Count me in. I can't wait to start on this one. I love these fabrics. I am trying so hard to keep on my BOMs but I have fallen behind especially on the Xmas one. Have you started that one yet Vicky?
That cleared it up! Thanks!
I've already signed up for the BOM, but would love to be a part of your club as well. The enticement of a drawing would certainly keep me on task!
I've already signed up for this BOM, I want to be included in this Club Blog. What a good idea, gives me incentive to get my block done each month.
I really do have to quit clicking on things in your blog! LOL You keep getting me in trouble! LOL ILY.....so far I have resisted this but man I am so on the fence....we'll see how I make out tomorrow.
Count me in Vicky...I just signed up at Fat Quarter Shop...I was resisting but you pushed me over the edge. Thanks so much for doing this ...it will be great fun and motivate me to keep up.
Count me in too. As everyone else has said, this will keep us on task. It's just the kind of "push" that I'll need each month. Thanks.
What a brilliant idea! Ofcourse I want to bee a part of this as I sew on my BOM. I hope it's okej that my blog is in Swedish? You'll still be able to see the pictures and that is what counts, right? ;o)
Kind regards from
Annika in Sweden
I would love to be a part of this as well. I am signed up for the block of the month and can't wait to get started! The monthly drawing will definitely keep me up to speed!
Count me in too! I can't wait to receive my first month's block!
Nat, from Paris, France
How fun, sign me up!!! Maybe this will give me the incentive to stay up to date on this one. I am way behind on the Designer Mystery BOM. :~)
Julia pointed out to me that you are organizing this BOM. I think it would be loads of fun to join in. I just posted on making my first two (!) blocks. Don't you just love the fabric?
I finished! I finished! I love how easily these blocks went together!
I would love to participate. Definitely sign me up.
I just signed up for the BOM, so count me in. I will hopefully get blocks 1 & 2 soon.
