New Year's Eve 2009

I've been out and about since 7:00 a.m. Haircut and the market are done and I'm home for four whole days!

Making black-eyed peas and smothered cabbage tomorrow - and gumbo! I know they don't go together, but I figure there will be plenty of leftovers for me and for Jane's family. Besides, it's perfect gumbo weather!

Penny and I would like to wish everyone a happy and healthy Happy New Year! Don't forget to take some stitches tomorrow - because what you do on New Year's Day, you do for the rest of the year!

And Penny sends a special Happy New Year's hug to everyone!

Oooh..gumbo sounds so good. We are having chili rellenos, beans & rice. Typical Tex-Mex California dinner. Then watch a video, maybe pop some popcorn, and asleep well before the chime strikes midnight. I'll sew a bit tomorrow for sure. May your new year be filled with zest!

I never heard of your New Year's Day thing but I think I had better take some stitches tomorrow because I want to stitch all year long.

Wishing you and Penny a Happy New Year.

I'll be putting a few applique stitches in my Magic Vine blocks.

Happy New Year to you and Penny. Her picture just made me smile big time. Not sure what I'll be doing tomorrow but I have a feeling it will involve football.

Wanted to stop by and wish you a Happy New Year. Just got back to my computer...been away since Dec. 27th. The last couple of years I try to stay off the computer during the holidays while visiting family and friends. Don't really know why I started this but it does feel good to remove yourself from the computer sometimes.

Anyway...Penny looks adorable as always! I wish you both a very happy and healthy New Year!
