Stash Busting Tips

Quiltland Chronicle blog cracked me up today! Great stash busting tips, Helen! I'm sure a lot of us will be putting your suggestions to good use!!

What a day! You can't take me anywhere! I was hurrying out of Acctg. today with something for the CEO, and caught the pocket of my pants on the handle of a file cabinet. Practically ripped those things right off of me; tore down the side seam from the waistband to my knee. I had to hold them together until I made the delivery, and then found out there was only one small safety pin in the whole office. Guess this is why Mom always said to wear pretty underwear. Well, actually I think she said "clean and pretty"! LOL

It must have been "Vicki wardrobe malfunction day". First I got to work in one of my Misook pink outfits. Oh no, I actually had the top from one outfit and the jacket from the other. I walked around all day with unmatched pinks. It got worse. The outfit has knit pants with an elastic waist. I went to the bathroom and when I pulled the pants up my thumb went through the waistband. The waistband was unraveling from the pant! There wasn't even ONE safety pin in the office and I needed THREE! LOL! I made it though the day. Thank goodness for a long jacket. You were not alone today.

I can so relate to the ripped pants. I once ripped mine all the way down the center front of the leg from the thigh down to the bottom of the leg while working on a car assembly line. We taped them together so I could finish up the rest of the shift. It is so embarrassing.

LOL @ the underwear comments :)

As you know, I've been in and out of the hospital 3 X in the past 2 weeks, the last time necessitating a 4 day stay. Each time DH got clothes out for me to change into to make the trek there, I told him to check the undies for holes cuz I wasn't wearing nasty underwear that a buncha medical folks would see LOL!

aooh - I can relate Vicky - been there before except it was my middle seem that ripped once - right up the middle in the back! How embarrasing that was!

Oh, what a bad thing to happen. I can't help but chuckle. I think most of us have had something similar happen at some time or another.

You girls are making me wonder if I should check the seat of my pants and make sure I didn't have a wardrobe malfunction! Tomorrow has to be better!

In the office environment tape or staples will usually get 'er done until you get home! Been there, done that! I also kept a sewing kit in my desk and had to use it more than once! Be prepared!

I followed your link to the Queen. That is hilarious! The other thing your mother told you was to always have safety pins in your purse. Now you know why! LOL

Love the link provided, hilarious! For years I would not leave the house without 2 safety pins in my purse!
