Spring has Sprung

I dug around in the quilts and found one that looked like spring. I really really hate to admit this, but I have never had a quilt on my bed before tonight! But it's raining again, and I thought it would cheer me up to have something light and fresh in the bedroom!

This was one of my early quilts, probably the first six months or so. The pattern is called "Butterfly Flip" by Atkinson Designs. Unfortunately, I didn't "flip" those butterflies, but lined them all up like little soldiers. And didn't even do a good job of that. There are plenty of them who are marching to a different drummer! LOL

Today was a busy one, but I'm all ready for a big meeting tomorrow and that feels good! Also, I stuck to my new resolution and stood up for truth and justice today, and that felt good, too. So all in all, very much a feel-good kind of day!

Daisy dog and I are having a stand-off right now. She didn't like her allergy-proof dog food, but would eat it reluctantly. I caved this weekend and bought her a bag of good stuff. Yesterday I caught her in the pantry trying to get into the bag. Tonight I mixed the old food with a handful of the yummy. I watched her pick through the bowl and eat only what she liked out of it. And now she's sitting at the pantry door looking pitiful! She plays me like a fiddle!

Oh my goodness! All those beautiful quilts and you have never had one on your own bed? You are in for a treat and I see lots more quilts on your bed in the future. And yes, those are nice, soft Springy colors.

Cheers!

what a confession from a quilter! I am sure you are much happier now with a quilt on your bed :-) and yes, our dogs can play us like a fiddle...too smart by far!

Looks gentle and soft and cozy, just right for a rainy night.
Good luck in your meeting!

Too bad about your baby's allergies. They can be bad! But hopefully that dog food will help her. Stick to your guns! She'll eat it when she's hungry!

My cats are on two different Rx diets - one is the allergy variety - but luckily they bothe like that one. The on who was on a diet for crystals did not care for thatfood and went on a starvation diet before she realized that we were not playing! (She also became less reluctant when the vet said that I can mix in the other up to 20% of her daily intake...)

BTW love the quilt!

I've always liked this pattern. It's nice and simple. Right up my alley. :-) Might be a good one to use for one of my nieces.

Quilt looks great and who cares that the butterflies are all lined up (even though they look like butterflies to me!). Oh, Daisy . . they're all alike, aren't they? They rule the house!

Never had a quilt on your bed?? I love quilts although my husband mentions comforters every now and again - I tell him we are quilt people now and there will be NO more comforters!
