Daisy and a Quilt

My friend, Boop, sent this beautiful wallhanging to me a couple of years ago. Her applique is just beautiful, and she even put daisies in the corners. And you can tell how much Daisy loves it! I don't know whatever in the world I did to deserve this, but I sure do love it! Or as Daddy would have said, "You shouldn't have ... but I'm glad you did!"

The last week has been a very contemplative one for me. Sometimes I have to ponder things for a while before I figure out how I feel. I'm still working on this one.

My gratitude today is having friendly neighbors who quilt!

AWWWWWwwww.

They're both as cute as they can be, the quilt AND the dog. How did she get such a good likeness, did she have a picture of Daisy?

That is so cute and what a great likeness as well. Daisy looks intrigued with her quilt. And yes Vicky, you do deserve it - you really do!

That quilt is fabulous! It looks like a photo of your dog. What a talent your friend has.

What a talented friend to make a quilt that looks just like Daisy and add those daisies as cornerstones! Have you see the dog patterns on Quilter's Online Resource--this reminds of mary Graham's designs,

Oooh, the fabric your friend used for Daisy is just sooo perfect. What a wonderful likeness of Daisy and a wonderful gift too. I am beginning to think that I should only give quilty gifts to quilty friends because they are the ones who know how much work goes into something and really cherish it!

Cheers!
